I’m a big fan of planning. It’s served me well in life.

I’m also a big fan of flexing. We have to recognise, we’re only in control about 51% of the time. So yes, make plans. And when the world just goes off in its own direction, be ready to shift with it.

The C19 experience has been a lesson to all of us that we have very little control. We have no idea what the next minute, hour, day, week, month or year holds. We can’t control the world… just the little bit around us.

If you’ve had to cope with your wedding being postponed this Spring - and possibly this Summer - my best advice is to get ahead of the curve. Coming out of lockdown, there’s going to be a fair bit of scrambling around in diaries trying to fit all of this year and next year’s wedding dates into diaries.

I foresee lots of Friday and Sunday slots joining the usual Saturdays.
